Returns Policy
BOOKSTORE ORDERS
Horizon Textbook Publishing believes in the value of working our bookstore partners
by providing them with competitive advantages, through our selection of customized, print-on-demand titles.
- Horizon Textbook Publishing does not engage in direct-to-consumer sales of our titles; we sell exclusively to bookstores
- Professors take part in the process of building the book that they want their students to use, which increases sell-through for the bookstore
- Horizon Textbook Publishing custom titles are very often more price-competitive with added value for the student
Please remember to order early! The best way to ensure timely delivery of all Horizon Textbook Publishing custom titles for your classes' start dates is to place your orders as early as possible. A good rule of thumb is to place your orders at least three weeks before classes begin.
Horizon Textbook Publishing's custom books are print-on-demand, based on the
quantities ordered. Because they are print-on-demand, we request pre-payment,
don't print/ship the books until we receive payment. For your added convenience,
we gladly accept credit card payments, right at the time of the order.
BOOKSTORE RETURNS
Horizon Textbook Publishing will accept up to 20% returns on each order of
print-on-demand titles up to 12 months from the invoice date. There is no
restocking fee for returning eligible titles to Horizon Textbook Publishing.
To receive credit for returned textbooks to be applied to future orders, the
following procedures must be followed:
- Written authorization must be obtained prior to the return of any textbooks. Please be specific regarding the reason for return. Include the original invoice number. The pre-approved return authorization number must appear on the box of books to be returned, before returns will be accepted. Horizon Textbook Publishing assumes no liability for textbooks returned without authorization.
- Returns must be made within 12 months of the invoice date and account must be in good standing.
- Credit toward future orders will be issued upon receipt of returned books---credit only, no cash or credit card refunds will be issued. Credit will be issued by Horizon Textbook Publishing only. Any alteration in procedure will result in penalties to your account. Returns will not be accepted without a return authorization number.
- Merchandise a bookstore receives damaged or defective may be returned but a pre-approved authorization number is still required. Damaged or defective merchandise sent to Horizon Textbook Publishing without approval will be refused and no credit will be issued. All returns must be properly packaged to avoid damage. All bundles must be in original shrink wrap. Bundles received without original shrink wrap will not be accepted.
- Once authorization has been received, you may then return the books with the return authorization number printed on the outside of each box to the return address, which will be provided at time of authorization approval; if the returns are sent without prior authorization, the returns will be refused at the sender's expense.
