Lab Manuals - Guidelines
Guidelines for creating your Lab Manual documents
You should create a new Microsoft Word document for each lab manual. Your tables,
graphics, charts, etc., should be formatted within the text exactly where you want
them to appear on the page. You can include page numbering and a Table of Contents if you desire.
Any images included in the document should be at least 300 DPI resolution.
We may also request copies of these images as TIFF or EPS files. Please note that all pages
will be printed in black-and-white (grayscale), except for the cover, which will be in color.
We may need to make minor modifications to your document to facilitate printing, and
will discuss these with you if they arise.
Points to remember:
Please make sure you lab manual is entirely your own work, and does not contain
copyrighted material from another author. If this is unavoidable, please
contact us to discuss.
Please make sure you submit your entire manuscript in final form and without errors. This will help us produce
your manual accurately with a minimum of delays.
We will provide you with a proof copy before your
manual is produced. This proof copy (in PDF form) will enable you to check:
- the cover design and title;
- the sequence and completeness of your labs;
- the page numbering of your manual.
You will be asked to approve the proofs before we produce your final manual.
When your bookstore places their order with us, we will print two additional
complimentary copies, which we will deliver directly to your home or office.
